Apple Picking in the GTA

There's a chill in the air and the kids are headed back to school. You know what that means... That's right, it’s apple picking time! No matter where you live in the GTA, there's bound to be a pick-your-own farm nearby. Many will also offer fun activities like corn mazes, hayrides and farm animals. So grab a few baskets and head out to one of these great farms.

Albion Orchards

Albions Orchards located in Caledon is close to the city and apple picking starts end of August. They grow many different apple varieties native to Ontario.

Brooks Farms
122 Ashworth Road, Mount Albert, ON
Brooks Farms in Mount Albert has apple picking starting early September. The highlight of a visit to this farm is the Fall Fun Festival which runs on weekends starting in September and ending early November, includingThanksgiving Monday. Kids can enjoy train rides, wagon rides, zip lines, a pumpkin cannon show, Sue Wee pig races, farm animals, a pirate ship, bouncing ponies, a playhouse, slides, and much more.

Carl Laidlaw Orchards located in Brampton opens in early September for apple picking. They offer over 20 varieties of apples.

Chudleigh's in Milton has apple picking starting late in August but most crops are available in September right up until October. The farm offers over 20 varieties of apples. There are scenic tractor wagon rides, a variety of farm animals to visit and feed, a play area with 4 slides and tower, and a huge hay maze.

Country Apple Orchard Farm in King City opens in late August. With approximately 5000 trees, they have been producing apples for over 27 years.

Dixie Orchard is a family-owned and operated apple farm located in beautiful southern Caledon. You can pick apples from early September until the end of October. There are also Farm Animals, a Corn Maze & Straw Jump as well as Wagon Rides on weekends.
