Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)

Aug 18, 2017 to Sep 4, 2017
10:00 AM until 10:00 PM

Canada’s largest fair, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), is gearing up for another fun-filled season, August 18 to September 4, 2017. All of the mainstays of Toronto’s beloved end-of-summer tradition are back from the Midway games to The Farm and Sky Ride. Also returning are the SuperDogs, Canadian International Air Show, Waterfront Show and the Aerial Acrobatics & Ice Skating Show starring Elvis Stojko, with all-new themes celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial.

Explore our country’s great landscapes and iconic landmarks on spectacular display in the Canada 150 Origami Exhibit, and get to know Canada’s multicultural mosaic with the largest collaborative work of textile art, the Quilt of Belonging, featuring 263 quilted squares representing 71 indigenous groups and 192 nationalities.

To celebrate the enormous contribution that Canada’s indigenous people have made to this great land, the CNE has commissioned Ojibway artist Kris Nahrgang, to create a colourful Unity Pole that incorporates universal symbols carved into a 25ft tall cedar tree.

New attractions and culinary experiences await visitors this year including a high-energy nightly Laser Illusion Show that combines cutting edge technology with magic and techno beats; and get your game on at the CNE’s Gaming Garage (Aug 25-27), a hub for video and gaming enthusiasts to participate in eSports tournaments, tabletop gaming, a pinball competition, virtual reality experiences and much more. Mark your calendars for the East Coast Kitchen Party (Aug 19 & 20) featuring a bounty of East Coast fare, brews and entertainment; and come back the following weekend for Food Truck Frenzy featuring 24 of Toronto’s best street food trucks and Craft Beer Fest.

Cool down inside at the CNE Innovation Garage (Aug 18-20) featuring the latest in current consumer products and meet the next generation of inventors during the Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition, or cool down at sunset and enjoy an exciting line-up of FREE outdoor concerts showcasing Canada’s rich array of musical talent such as The Sheepdogs, Sam Roberts Band, Dear Rouge, Colin James, Bret Kissel, Shawn Hook, and the multi-talented Kiefer Sutherland to name a few. There’s plenty of fun to be had at the CNE this summer with a variety of exciting performances, attractions and eats to explore!
