Guests of all ages are invited to warm up this winter with a line-up of festive Family Favourites, Classic Films, Special Events and live dance and stage productions coming to theatres in Toronto and across Canada this holiday season. As part of the decked-out holiday line-up, movie-goers can count down to snow day staples like The Nutcracker (Bolshoi Ballet), Home Alone, The Polar Express and CBeebies Christmas Show: Thumbelina, among others.

Family Favourites - Beginning December 1, 2018
Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York in search of his real father. When he arrives to find that his father is a cynical businessman with no sense of childlike wonder, the pair attempt to start a relationship with increasingly chaotic results.

CBeebies Christmas Show: Thumbelina
Beginning December 15, 2018
This winter, laugh and sing along with your favourite CBeebies stars at the interactive CBeebies Christmas Show! The makers of Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol and Snow Queen will delight audiences this year with the classic tale of Thumbelina. This year’s Christmas Show recreates the live Thumbelina performance on the big screen and includes an exclusive, additional show made for cinema audiences only starring the much-loved Justin Fletcher (Something Special) in "Justin’s Countdown to Christmas".

It's a Wonderful Life
Classic Films - Beginning December 16, 2018
George Bailey is a small-town man whose life seems so desperate he contemplates suicide. He had always wanted to leave Bedford Falls to see the world, but circumstances and his own good heart have led him to stay. He sacrificed his education for his brother's, kept the family-run savings and loan afloat, protected the town from the avarice of the greedy banker Mr. Potter and married his childhood sweetheart. As he prepares to jump from a bridge, his guardian angel intercedes, showing him what life would have become for the residents of Bedford Falls if he had never lived.

The Nutcracker - Bolshoi Ballet
Dance - Beginning December 23, 2018
On Christmas Eve, Marie’s Nutcracker doll magically transforms into a prince and together their wonderful adventure begins. The Nutcracker invites audiences of all ages on a magical journey, through a world of enchantment, complete with dancing snowflakes and dolls that have come to life, accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s beloved score. The timeless holiday classic returns to the Bolshoi stage and big screens across Canada this December.
