The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is an art museum in Toronto's Downtown Grange Park district, on Dundas Street West between McCaul Street and Beverley Street. Its collection includes more than 80,000 works spanning the 1st century to the present-day. The gallery has 45,000 square metres (480,000 sq ft) of physical space, making it one of the largest galleries in North America.

Power Kids: Welcome Home

In Emeka Ogboh’s sound piece The Song of the Germans, the singers are all immigrants to Germany, each leaving their home country in search of a new home in Germany. Based on Ogboh’s interest in identity and place, participants will work together to create a handmade zine for newcomers to Toronto. We will share our favourite spots to play, eat and shop in the city we call home. At the end of the program, we will compile everyone's artwork to create a small publication to be shared with your family — and families across Toronto! Free.

Community Cleanup Day at Fort York
April 21, 2018
Clean Toronto together! Join over 200,000 residents, students, businesses, organizations and community groups as we come together for the 15th annual city-wide cleanup of public spaces. Help us protect our urban green spaces by reducing the amount of garbage in the area and in the community. Join the team at Fort York National Historic Site to clean part of our 43-acres of greenspace! All participants who help with the community cleanup on the Fort York grounds will get free admission to visit our museum on the day of the event.

Power Kids: Wearable Words

DEMONSTRATION, Michael Landy’s exhibition, is full of hand-drawn visual signs that reflect the thoughts and ideas of our local and national community. But signs are only one of the many ways people can share their thoughts and concerns with others. Throughout history, people have expressed themselves through marches, posters, flyers, buttons and books.
