Community Cleanup Day at Fort York
April 21, 2018
Clean Toronto together! Join over 200,000 residents, students, businesses, organizations and community groups as we come together for the 15th annual city-wide cleanup of public spaces. Help us protect our urban green spaces by reducing the amount of garbage in the area and in the community. Join the team at Fort York National Historic Site to clean part of our 43-acres of greenspace! All participants who help with the community cleanup on the Fort York grounds will get free admission to visit our museum on the day of the event.

Children's Nature Play in the Garden at Evergreen

With the sap rising, trees and other plants are awakening, buds and blossoms are beginning to form, and seeds are sprouting! Join us to learn about the amazing things these plants provide humans and other living things each spring. Don’t miss our opening circle around the fire pit in the morning. We'll be making animal-themed shelters, engaging in worker bee stewardship or land-based handwork from 1-2pm. As always visitors will have access to our clay table, sand and water play, greenhouse, and urban agriculture activities, or can just enjoy our family-friendly Children's Garden quiet zones with a good storybook!

Cash It, Don't Trash It! at Ripley's Aquarium

Next Sunday is Earth Day and we want you to turn your trash into cash! Bring empty plastic beverage bottles to the Aquarium from 10am until 3pm on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 to earn 10¢ per bottle.

Cosmopawlitan is a pet specialty store and grooming salon. This is the place for pet care advice, food, treats, leashes and anything else to keep your pet healthy and happy. April 22, 2018 is Earth Day. What better way to celebrate than to show some love to the local park that we use daily. Cosmopawlitan is also hosting a recycling drive and pet supply donation drive.  While you are doing your spring cleaning, collect your appropriate items and bring them to Cosmopawlitan for recycling and donating from April 3 to 22, 2018.
