AGO Family Sundays

AGO Family Sundays are fun for the entire family: See Art. Make Art. Play!

If you're looking for a fun way to introduce your kids to the arts, culture and artmaking in an inspirational and friendly environment, take them to AGO's Family Sundays. Art-inspired activities provide a well-rounded experience for families at the Gallery. Children and adults make new connections and participate together.

Interactive and innovative activities change on a monthly basis. Themes are inspired by the AGO's permanent collections, as well as the ever-changing exhibitions.

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails is the Family Sundays November theme. Based on the current exhibition Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters, it takes inspiration from del Toro’s love of collecting. Roll up your sleeves, paint sticks and rocks and then make objects from scratch to create a collaborative cabinet of curiosities.

Family Sundays in December, called Super Kidz', will explore the idea of fandom in kids’ culture. Families will get creative together and craft fictional super-hero costumes – capes, masks, wands, shields and so much more – and then fly through the clouds in the AGO Weston Family Learning Centre!
Family Sundays happen EVERY Sunday until April 29, 2018 (with the exception of Sunday, December 24) from 1 to 4 pm. Participation is included with Gallery Admission. AGO Members always visit for free.
