Make Your Own Scarecrow

This fall, have a ball with your kids by making your own scarecrow. Scarecrows are not just for scaring away crows anymore!

Roam the family attic and closets for old clothing and accessories.

If you happen to live near a farm, pick up some hay, to fill your scarecrow. If not, you can find some at a local craft store. Better yet, used dried leaves or newspaper for stuffing.

Wigs, costume jewellery, eye patches and hats will make great accessories. And you can also borrow dad’s overalls.

Here’s a fun video on You Tube that gives you full step-by-step instructions on how to make your scarecrow.
