BuskerFest

School may be starting but the outdoor fun isn't stopping anytime soon. Some of the Greater Toronto Area's best annual festivals take place in September including family favourites like Buskerfest, Downsview Park Ribfest, Brooks Fall Festival, Cabbagetown Festival and many more.

We've got the scoop on what's happening this month ... you won't want to miss these fun and mostly FREE festivals and celebrations.  

Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)
Until September 4,  2017
Canada’s largest fair, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), is gearing up for another fun-filled season, August 18 to September 4, 2017. All of the mainstays of Toronto’s beloved end-of-summer tradition are back from the Midway games to The Farm and Sky Ride. Also returning are the SuperDogs, Canadian International Air Show, Waterfront Show and the Aerial Acrobatics & Ice Skating Show starring Elvis Stojko, with all-new themes celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial.

Active Ontario Festival
September 1, 2017 to September 4, 2017
Get up, get out, and get active at Active Ontario festival! Participate in a team sport like soccer or volleyball, climb your way to the top of our rock-climbing wall, learn to dance in one of our workshops and much more! Admission is free, so join us this Labour Day long weekend at Ontario Place for another Ontario150 festival.

BuskerFest
September 1, 2017 to September 4, 2017
It's spontaneous, it's outrageous; it's fun, funny and fabulous - there is literally something for everyone at the Toronto International BuskerFest for Epilepsy. The festival features spectacular circus artistry, non-verbal shows that can be understood by all, and one-of-a-kind entertainment that will have you questioning your very eyes. Music, magic and mime; feats of the impossible, and the ridiculous performed by comedians, fire jugglers, acrobats, aerial artists, clowns, daredevils, beat boxers, break-dancers and much more. Free admission. Donations accepted.

Downsview Park RibFest

The 2nd annual Downsview Park Ribfest is going down September 1st to 4th! Downsview Park Ribfest is produced by Superior Events Group. A great family destination with rides, attractions, music and live entertainment and of course, great food! Hispanic Fiesta

The Hispanic Fiesta is a four day celebration filled with the splendid sounds, tempting treats and colorful culture that Hispanic heritage is famous for. Featuring 300 local, national and International Hispanic performers from over 20 different Spanish speaking countries. Free admission.

Hot & Spicy Food Festival
September 1, 2017 to September 4, 2017
The 20th anniversary edition of Hot & Spicy Food Festival showcases Canadian celebrity chefs, a curated food market, and a ChiliKids cooking competition, all paired with sizzling jazz and Toronto Blues Society’s co-presentation of Canada’s hottest blues. Free admission.

Food Truck Festival at Canada's Wonderland
September 3, 2017 to September 4, 2017
If you love food trucks, you'll love one festival rolling into Canada's Wonderland this summer. The Park's 2nd Food Truck Festival will feature local food trucks from the Greater Toronto Area, offering Park guests a unique culinary experience. Entrance is FREE with Park admission.

Corn Roast, Market and Heritage Fair at Montgomery's Inn
September 7, 2017

Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival
September 9, 2017 to September 10, 2017
From the humble beginning of only 27 teams participating in the first festival back in 1989, the Festival has evolved to a much bigger operation over the past two decades. Organized by the Toronto Chinese Business Association and Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival, the Festival in 2017 will once again expect 180 to 200 teams with over 5,000 athletes.

September 16, 2017 to September 17, 2017

City Cider at Spadina Museum
