In partnership with the Toronto Zoo, Markville presents a Safari 'treasure' Hunt for kids. There are 10 animals lurking. Your job is to find them and they will help unravel the puzzle of the hidden treasure. If you find the treasure, you'll have a chance to win a Family Day Pass for the Zoo. There's a different treasure everyday and a chance to win everyday. At the end of the contest week, all correct submissions will go into a Grand Prize Draw to win a $100 Cadillac Fairview shop! card®. All children playing our Safari Hunt will have a small treasure to take home. Happy Hunting! Date: March 15th to 19th (Monday-Friday). Tuesday, March 16 • 3 R’s Creative Crafts • 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. Turn your trash into something fun and creative with 3 R’s Creative Crafts. Learn how to reuse bottles and CD cases by turning them into bottle head piggy banks and decorative frames! Plus learn more about cool ways to reuse common recyclables around the house. Participants can enter a draw for a chance to win a $50 Cadillac Fairview shop! card. Session Cost: $5.

Pre-register for March Break. Imagine a visit to the Gibson’s farmhouse in the late winter of 1851. Children will enjoy baking delicious treats in the historic kitchen, creating an old-fashioned toy and exploring the life of a child during the 19th century. Ages 5 to 7. March 16 - 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Younger children will explore the past through play and imagination. $9.50 plus applicable taxes. Ages 7 to 11. March 17 - 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Older children will experience a fun and interactive full-day workshop exploring 19th-century life including making their own hearth-cooked lunch. $25 plus applicable taxes (lunch is included).

They'll get to cook tasty treats, make creative crafts, play old-time games, and enjoy tall tales, all in the special atmosphere of the Inn. A new theme each day. Choose one day or more. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 - Showtime: 7:00 p.m. This ballet by Bengt Jörgen is an innovative take on the classic fairy tale. Jörgen’s choreography takes us through the misfortunes and fortunes of Cinderella and her overbearing stepsisters. Cinderella is tormented by her sisters until her life is changed by the appearance of an old woman, a seed and magical fairies. When Cinderella wins the hand of her prince, her stepsisters find their world turned upside down. Recommended for ages 4+.
