Family Nights at Dream in High Park
Free, interactive workshops for parents, children and family members of all ages (from 4 years of age and up). Fun-filled activities include a crafts and costume corner for children ages 4 to 8 years of age only, and all-ages activities such as Shakespearean games, backstage tours, improvisation and character exploration. Held pre-show at the Dream site from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays, July 6 until August 31, weather permitting, workshops are lead by professional artists from this year’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Active participation is encouraged and no experience is required. Registration is required. The structure of each Family Night session is as follows: 5:00 p.m. and onwards - Crafts and Costume Corner (ages 4-8 only) - 5:30-5:50 p.m. – Intro to live theatre, the Dream and a backstage tour (all ages) - 5:50–6:25 p.m. – Hands-on workshop with cast members from the play. This includes physical warm-up, introduction to Shakespearean language, overview of stage design, improvisation and character exploration from this year’s production (all ages). Registration is required for any Family Night session throughout the summer.

Summer Music in the Garden
Summer Music in the Garden showcases an eclectic array of music and dance performances that reflect the exuberance, poetry and fantasy of the Toronto Music Garden, and of Johann Sebastian Bach—the composer who inspired it. From June 29 to September 14, Summer Music in the Garden presents 20 free outdoor concerts and dance performances with approximately 80 performers over the course of the summer, taking place on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. and on most Sundays at 4 p.m.

Artists’ Gardens at Harbourfront
Harbourfront Centre’s Artists’ Gardens are back for the 19th year with 21 existing gardens and 2 new gardens this year. Since the programme’s inception in 1990, landscape architects, designers, craftspeople, performing and visual artists have created living installations that challenge traditional ideas about gardening. All the Gardens are situated outdoors on the Harbourfront Centre site, 235 Queens Quay West. Admission is free.
