5KSM Run For Hope
Get ready … get set … to take part in the third annual Run For Hope. Once again, the streets in Kerr
Village will be bustling with hundreds of runners, walkers and onlookers. The OTFA certified 5K run
starts at 8:30 am for both serious and recreational runners. A 1K Fun Run/Walk (no entry fee) starts at 9:30. Both events begin and end at Kerr Street/Florence Drive. All funds raised will be directed to the Kerr Street Ministries (KSM). Space is limited. Runners are encouraged to register on-line.

For the Birds ...
This event is for the birds ... literally. Join us for a workshop and hike all about creating bird habitat on your rural property. Presentations will cover bird box building and installation, which birds use boxes and why, natural food sources, other ways to attract and support birds and where to get help. Then join our naturalist for a unique night hike to explore the hunting and nesting grounds of some of our most exciting cavity nesters, the eastern screech owl and the barred owl. On this owl prowl, we’ll call out to these birds in the hopes that they will respond! This free event is partially outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a small flashlight.
