The Stouffville Studio Tour and Sale
This year will feature 3 new artists including a woodturning artisan, a creator of ceramic jewelry and stoneware pottery, and a visual artist working in watercolour and acrylic paints, charcoal and pastels. Among the returning artists are painters in many diverse media and subject matter, potters, and jewelry makers. Soli & Rob with Alistair Ant have a whole bunch of Halloween concerts coming up, and would like to invite you to come and sing and dance along. Don't forget to put on your best Halloween costume!
October 18 @ 1 pm & 3 pm - October 19 @ 11 am & 2 pm. Boo at the Zoo @ Toronto Zoo. Soli & Rob perform 4 Halloween concerts as part of this annual celebration. Puppet sidekicks “Alistair Ant” and “Sluggo” are sure to make an appearance or two. Children are encouraged to come in costume.

Simcoe County Museum presents The Last Blast
The Simcoe County Museum and the Historical Construction Equipment Association present our 9th annual Last Blast at the Simcoe County Museum on Saturday, October 18th, 2008. Every year pieces of our heritage equipment are powered up for one last blast before the winter, and you are invited to come see it! Wander through the displays of vintage tractors, classic trucks and other historic equipment set up around the Museum grounds. Ride out to the gravel pits to see live demonstrations of steam powered equipment, vintage road building, rock crushing, grading, hoisting and much more. Kids of all ages will love seeing these machines in action! Visitors are invited to spend the day, stroll through the Museum grounds and visit our permanent displays. The Friends of the Simcoe County Museum will be on site all day, serving delicious hot food at our refreshment stand. Event hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Regular Museum admission rates apply – Adult $4, Senior/Student $3.50, Child $2.50, Preschoolers free.
