African Arts and Culture Festival at Toronto Zoo!
This summer the Toronto Zoo will host its second immersion into African Art and Culture in our African Savanna area. African visual artists will again be exhibiting their work and offering artistic demonstrations at three strategic interpretive areas. Along with the visual art, the weekends of July 10-11 and 24-25 will feature dance performances, music, crafts, traditional storytelling and more. The African Festival will take place in the following three areas of the African Savanna: Outside the Market Bazaar, At the Kesho Park Ranger Station, Picnic area west of Simba Restaurant. Zoo visitors will have the opportunity to view the artwork, ask questions, witness demonstrations, and purchase artwork. July 3 to September 6.

Canada's Largest Ribfest
Every year, Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Ontario, welcomes people from all over the world to sample some of the best ribs from some of North America's top ribbers. This year marks the 15th anniversary of Canada's Largest Ribfest, an event that the National Post has dubbed "the Superbowl of Ribfests." Funds raised through the festival are contributed to local charitable organizations, making key contributions that help shape the local community. This year’s Ribfest takes place over Labour Day Weekend, beginning Friday, September 3, and ending on Monday, September 6.

The Junction Arts Festival
This year’s Junction Arts Festival takes place from September 8 to 12, 2010. It is the highlight of the community’s cultural year.
