Pioneer Fall Fair
The Scugog Shores Museum will be holding their 19th annual Pioneer Fall Fair Sunday, September 21st from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The museum village will be bustling with activity all day long. Craftspeople will be demonstrating everything from woodworking to rug hooking. Check out the power of the old-fashioned steam engines, taste fresh-pressed cider and observe the meticulous work of a typesetter getting his newspaper ready for print. Members of the Military Re-enactors Society of Canada will once again be setting up camp in the Museum Village to demonstrate what life was like for Canadian soldiers during the war of 1812. Other activities: Children's fall crafts, Historical scavenger hunt, BBQ and Corn-on-the-Cob, Homemade Apple Crisp, Old-Fashioned Ice Cream and Bake Sale, Genealogy Table, Rope-Making, Blacksmithing, Heritage Soup, Spinning & Weaving. Admission to the fair is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and free for children 12 & Under. BBQ burgers, sausages, hot dogs and corn on the cob will be available at the snack hut. All proceeds will benefit the museum.

Harvest Festival at Springridge Farm
Our Harvest Festival will begin the weekend of September 27 and will continue every weekend in October, including Thanksgiving Monday. The hours of Harvest Festival are 10am until 4:30pm. Great Fall Fun for the whole family (be sure to bring a camera)! There is no charge to visit the farm market, however, there is an admission fee to enter the farm yard and different fall activities during our Fall Harvest Festival.
