Golden Lake United Church Camp is one of three summer church camps within the Bay of Quinte Conference of the United Church of Canada. It is located about twenty minutes west of Eganville, on the shores of Golden Lake.
Junior Camp Programs - Ages 8 to 11
Each one-week program accommodates up to 70 children from a variety of church backgrounds and from none at all. Activities include: Crafts, Archery, Canoeing (in the lake), Swimming (in our pool), Various Sports, Mountain Climbing, Camp-wide games, Discovery Group, Olympics, Talent Night, Tuck Shop, eating and sleeping, and more!
Intermediate Youth Camp Programs - Ages 12 to 14
Lasting Friendships, Incredible Singing, Great Games and Activities, Overnight Campouts, Significant Discussions & Just Hanging Out! Youth Camp provides an exciting range of experiences ranging from those that are wacky and bizarre to a variety of penetrating explorations of the Christian faith. You'll have a chance to participate in activities including: volleyball, baseball, hiking, crafts, canoeing, eating junk food and much more! And you'll also find yourself involved in some crazy, off-beat, and totally awesome evening theme events and large group games. You'll find that the creative and thought-provoking presentations of Christianity are relevant to the youth of 2004. And you'll have lots of opportunity to discuss, ask questions, and share your own experiences and perspectives.
Senior Youth Camp Programs - Ages 15 plus
Similar to Intermediate Youth, but for youths aged 15 and over.
Outdoor Adventure Camp
Golden Lake has a camp for those who love the outdoors and love adventure! This camp includes many of the features of our main site such as archery, evening games, swimming and Discovery Group. As well, Adventure Camp offers additional instruction in canoeing, wilderness survival skills such as map and compass, fire lighting, and cooking out-of doors. Outdoor Adventure Camp is held at our Golden Lake Outdoors site. Campers sleep in tents (provided) and cook at the outdoor site. All activities are well supervised, and safety standards as required by the Ontario Camping Association are maintained. Registration is limited.
