Located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, our facility is surrounded by the Larose Forest, a beautiful nature reserve offering trails of unsurpassed beauty. The Horse People Inc. provides the finest in equestrian training, and is accredited with the American Camping Association and the Ontario Camping Association. We have been in business for 28 years.

Youngsters learn the art and science of horsemanship during the day, while evenings include such "camp" activities as dances, sports, movies, games, bonfires and more. Our very popular summer program allows youngsters from every part of the world to meet and play together. The unique cultural blend combined with a teaching standard of excellence, makes for an unforgettable experience.

All of our instructors are either certified or interns in the national coaching certification program. Many are competitors, some have represented Canada and other countries at the Pan Am Games and have been listed to the Olympic team. We feel it important for your child to learn from the best. Our lessons are structured so that each level rides safely, yet is challenged to progress - fun is the key element. For the accomplished junior with a taste for competition, we offer a specialized program.

Although our specialty is riding, we do have a comprehensive sport and social program. Our Red Cross Swim Instructors offer the camper the opportunity to upgrade their swimming skills and achieve their Red Cross badges. There are also evening activities such as sports, games, movies, bonfires, dances, square dances, scavenger hunts and more. Our summer camp is limited to 35 co-ed equestrians aged 9-17 years and our staff to camper ratio is 1:2.
