Welcome to the world of Kindermusik!

Ages newborn - 7 years old.

Children have a natural love of music. You have seen this first hand in your own child’s life. Research has shown that if nurtured, music has many benefits: including intellectual development, heightened motor skills, and enhanced social abilities.

Early exposure to music and movement is at the heart of the Kindermusik Series. Children experience a rich assortment of musical activities within a secure environment designed to develop the whole child. The Kindermusik philosophy is family centred because we believe that musical home activities and family interaction are essential to each child’s development.

We are pleased to offer Kindermusik at Music Steps. In a busy world, Kindermusik is one family activity that will be remembered and cherished for many years to come.

Village - (Birth-18mth)
Kindermusik Village for children newborn to 1 ½ years of age, incorporates the most current research on early childhood development and provides families a special place for learning and connecting with other parents and babies through music and movement.

Our Time - (18mth-3yrs)
Kindermusik Our Time for children 18 months to 3 ½ years of age distinctively integrates music, movement and literature to stimulate self expression, creativity and self esteem in your child. School readiness skills are also developed.

Imagine That - (3-5yrs)
Kindermusik Imagine That for children 3 ½ to 5 years old, takes you and your child on an incredible musical journey of discovery and exploration…a journey that is limited only by the power of imagination. Music, movement, literature, & pretend play sparks the imagination & continues you child’s creative & musical development while building on their pre-school learning.

Young Child - (5-7yrs)
Kindermusik for the Young Child for children 5 to 7 years old, is the bridge between early childhood experiences and formal music instruction. Children develop a working knowledge of vocal development, rhythm, notation, music symbols, pre-keyboard, string, & woodwind instruments. We will experience a variety of musical styles from cultures around the world.

Family Time - (Birth-7yrs)
In a multi-age, multi child Kindermusik Family Time class, you'll see in one semester how music helps your family laugh together, share, take turns, and how musical learning really can be a family thing. How your little one watches the older one and learns from him. How early exposure to rhythm and rhyme develops the skills they need now and later in school.
