The Varley Art Gallery of Markham features frequently changing exhibitions from the permanent collection as well as historical contemporary exhibitions drawn from local, national and international sources. New ways of seeing and appreciating art are enhanced through a broad range of dynamic hands-on art-related activities, including group tours, school programs, studio courses and workshops, courses and lectures, and family activities, designed to appeal to audiences of all ages and interests.

Children’s Birthday Parties at the Varley Gallery!
Special art program-designed parties for children ages 4 to 12 can be booked in our bright and spacious studio. The gallery will come alive through special guided tours of our current exhibitions, hands-on activities, and art games! Each child will take home their art masterpieces as well as an Artsy Loot bag filled with goodies, and memories of a fun-filled art adventure! We also include free Family Admission passes to the Galley for each child. Choose 2 art activities from a wide variety of creative and challenging projects! We require a minimum of 10 guests (excluding the birthday child) and accompanying adult chaperones. Food is not provided but you are welcome to use our fully-equipped kitchen, so order out or bring your own snacks and refreshments.
