Lionel's Pony Farm School Tours introduces children to a rural setting so they may experience first hand, the sights, sounds, smells, culture, products and lifestyles of the farming community, thus bringing their studies to life. It is a world beyond the classroom.

At LIONEL'S FARM, for Grade 3 classes, we try to encourage the students to want to learn more about pioneer life, by offering an old- fashioned horse drawn hayride, with an outline of how early settlers homesteaded. How they traveled, type of shelter, why they hunted, what they grew and picked for food, how they made their tools. We have a large collection of period tools, a covered wagon and 150 other antique wagons and sleighs, also an in-depth agri-food educational display.

In the animal get-acquainted area, we have sheep, goats, donkeys, horses, ponies, cow, raccoon, deer, llamas, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, turkey, pigeons pheasants, peacocks and at various times, throughout the year, many will have babies at their side, a real hands on opportunity. There is also available a play area in the barn which includes, various swings and a hay jumping room.
