Jungle Cat World is a wildlife park located on 15 picturesque acres in the Municipality of Clarington in historical Orono, just 45 minutes east of Toronto. Established in 1983 it was first accredited in 1989 by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA ), a non-profit organization established to promote the welfare of and encourage the advancement and improvement of zoology, recreation, education, conservation and science.

The total number of species that are at the zoo are: 98 - 52 mammals, 7 birds, 19 reptiles, 5 amphibians, 15 invertebrates. The total number of individuals (specimens) that are at the zoo are: 254 - 98 mammals, 47 birds, 34 reptiles, 15 amphibians, 60 invertebrates.

Sense the mystery of Exotic Cats from around the world - the awesome power of the Lions, the majestic beauty of the Siberian Tigers, and also from the far regions of Russia the Amur Leopards - one of the most critally endangered mammals, stare into the icy green eyes of the black jaguars and hear the chilling cry of the Cougars. See and feel the spirit of the mountains in the elusive Phantom Cat - the Snow Leopards. Discover some of the smaller cats - Bobcats, Lynx, Servals, Caracals, etc.

Listen to the lonely howl of the wolves and enjoy the funny antics of the numerous monkeys and River Otters. Watch the mischievous Babies play - Tiger Cubs, Wolf Pups and more. More indeed than a Collection of Animals a true learning experience for all. GUIDED FEEDING TOUR daily at 1:30p.m.

Night Safari: Join us for an evening SAFARI! An exciting overnight program for groups, such as Scouts and Girl Guides! As the sun begins to set, meet some amazing creatures up-close, from massive pythons and cute leopards, to the ferocious Vietnamese centipede and the comical river otters.

Safari Zoo Camp: The only residential summer camp of its kind... live and work at the zoo! Each summer, nearly 400 children, teens and adults from around the world take part in the Safari Zoo Camp experience. We offer them the unique privilege to learn about nature through hands-on experiences, helping develop awareness and concern for endangered wildlife and habitats. This fun and interactive approach to environmental education encourages campers to build the necessary confidence, knowledge and skills to live in harmony with nature.
