Real Programming 4 Kids™ teaches video game programming to children and teens between 9 and 17 years of age.
Learning any language is easier when you are young. Programming languages are languages! RP4K can teach your kid or teen computer programming because kids learn programming best when they are programming a game. We have been proving this since 2000.
RP4K began teaching, in Toronto, in the year 2000. RP4K has taught thousands of GTA children and teens since 2000. In an RP4K class there are never more than 4 students to an instructor maximizing individual attention for each student.
RP4K uses REAL PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES like Visual Basic, Java, C# and C++. We do not use canned game making software. A class size of a maximum of 4 students to an instructor facilitates an environment, where we can ask questions allowing learning (Socratic method).
Some of the advanced courses that we are offering teens include an Open GL course, programming a C# Shooter game, programming an RTS game in C++ or programming a C# XNA 3D Space Dogfight! Students new to programming begin with classic arcade classics such as Pacman, Donkey Kong or Asteroids.
RP4K game programming classes take place, evenings or Saturdays, during the school year in 3 GTA locations; Toronto, Oakville and Richmond Hill. There is also 1 or 2 week summer camps in July or August.
School season programs are 15 weeks or 25 weeks long and take place for 1 to 3 hours, once per week. Summer camps are 3 hours per day for 5 days or 3 hours per day for 10 days, either 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Prospective students are entitled to a FREE NO OBLIGATION TRIAL CLASS in Visual Basic or C#.
