Baby Spinach, Fruit and Nut Salad

A healthy and tasty salad for kids with baby spinach, strawberries, sliced toasted almonds (optional), popppy seeds, sesame seeds and an olive oil, balsamic vinegar dressing. Quick to make and very nutritious! Even the pickiest eater will ask for more!
Preparation Time: 15 minutes Serves 4
Ingredients: One bunch or a bag of baby spinach 1 cup strawberries sliced ½ cup sliced almonds toasted 2 tbsp natural cane sugar 1 tbsp poppy seeds
Preparation: 1. Wash the spinach making sure all sand and dirt has washed off, and then pat dry with a cloth. 2. Add the strawberries to the spinach. 3. Heat a skillet and dry roast the almonds and the poppy seeds until golden brown; add the sugar, until it melts. Remove from heat and set aside until sugar hardens onto the almonds. 4. Add the almonds to the salad along with the dressing and serve.
*do not add almonds if you suspect nut allergy.
