Packing for a Picnic Checklist

Nothing spells summer like having a family picnic on a beautiful day. It's the ideal activity for casual fun! Grab the kids and some friends and head out to a great picnic area. Just pack some food, a football, Frisbee, or book, and have fun being together. Here are a few more things you might want to bring along!

___  A large blanket or tablecloth. For damp lawns, bring a tarp
 ___ Two ice chests or picnic coolers: one for beverages & one for perishable foods
 ___ Napkins or wipes
 ___ Paper towels for cleanup
 ___ Forks, knives, spoons and serving utensils
 ___ Plates and plastic cups
 ___ A corkscrew and bottle opener, if necessary
 ___ A can opener, if necessary
 ___ A small cutting board or cheese board
 ___ Portable food favorites
 ___ Ice
 ___ Juices, beverages and water
 ___ Garbage bags
 ___ Sunscreen
 ___ Insect repellent
 ___ Candles. Citronella varieties can help fight mosquitos
