Packing for the Beach Checklist

Pack the sunscreen and get ready to have fun in the sun, sand and water. Whether you're heading to the beach on a day trip or an extended vacation, make sure you bring the right gear with you! Here are a few things to take with you.

___  Complete change of clothes for each person per day
___  Swimsuits (2 per person, so you'll always have a dry one)
___  Beach towels (2 per person)
___  Beach cover-ups or roomy T-shirts (to throw on over swimsuit)
___  Wide-brim sun hats
___  Sunglasses with UV protection for everyone
___  Sandals or water-shoes
___  Waterproof sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher
___  Lip balm with sunscreen
___  Aloe vera gel
___  Body lotion for after-sun
___  Insect repellent
___  Anti-itch cream (for bug bites)
___  Large beach tote to carry above items
___  Cooler with water and beverages
___  Floaties and other safety devices for children swimming safely
___  Buckets, shovels and sand/beach toys
___  Inflatable flotation devices (check safety regulations)
___  Frisbee, beach balls, kite
___  Camera and batteries
___  Zippered plastic bags for collecting shells or wet suits
___  Portable radio or CD player
