Buttons of Hope

Each year, over 11 million people participate in a charity walk. Last year alone, 3.5 million people walked in the American cancer Society, Relay For Life; 1.5 million in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure events and hundreds of thousands walked in Canada's Weekend to End Breast Cancer. Fifteen minutes before the walk, the vast majority of participants scribbled the name of a loved one on their back.

Michael Gibbons came up with the idea for Buttons of Hope after making a photo button to wear in honor of his cousin Dale. Dale was battling cancer and he wanted everyone to know not "just why" but "for who" he was doing the LiveStrong cancer fundraiser. Buttons of Hope makes it easy for people to honor their loved ones by putting a face on their cause!

Breakthrough technology and an innovative website has made Buttons of Hope easily available to every one of those 11 million charity walkers and all others interested in promoting a great cause. They have taken a familiar product: the pinback button; and reinvented it and fashioned it into a sleek, customized service. Buttons have been around forever but until now if you wanted a custom photo button, you had to order 50 or a 100. The process was slow and not user friendly. Buttons of Hope has radically changed all that with an intuitive online customization process that is both easy and fun.

Now you can simply upload a digital photo and design your own photo buttons via an easy on line WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) button creation program.

Buttons of Hope will help you honor a loved one, support a friend or even help in the search for a missing child! This service is also ideal for School Fundraising or to promote Special Events.

You can make a single button for $5 and prices will vary if larger quantities are ordered. Though $5 per button may seem pricy, Buttons of Hope is the only web site that allows you to custom design a single button online! There are no minimums because their goal is to help each individual to tell their story with a button. It's not just about the button! As Michael states: "It's about the story the button tells and the energy and inspiration it brings for the person who wears it!" Buttons of Hope has already made a big impact on events such as M.A.D.D.'s Strides for Change, the ms150 Bike Tour and local Habitat for Humanity projects.

Even better… $1 (20%) from each button is donated back to a charity of your choice.
