Racing Birthday Party Theme

Large White Bag & Tissue:
Supplies
White Paper Shopper Bag with Handles: DMD, Inc. Black & White Checkered Paper: Creative ImaginationsAdhesive: Xyron Yellow Tissue: Amscan Straight Edge, Cutting Tool/blade (utility knife).

Instructions
1. Cut black and white checkered paper just smaller than the width of the bag – use the checkers as your guide for height while remembering to center the checkers.
2. Adhere to the bag by running paper through Xyron.3. Fill bag and add tissue to the top.

Medium Yellow Bag:
Supplies
Stickers: Sandylion Sticker Designs HotWheels Border Yellow Bag: DMD, Inc., Paper Reflections Checkered Paper: Creative Imaginations Adhesive: Therm O Web Zips Clear Adhesive Strips.

Instructions
1. The yellow bag is 5 1/2” x 9” (without handles).
2. Use the bag handles as your guide.
3. Run stickers vertically from handles down and either trim excess at the bottom or simply continue to run along the bottom of the bag.
4. To create the flag, use checkered paper. Cut out piece 4 ½ squares wide by 2 squares high.
5. Place paper face down, extra 1/2 checker to the left. Curl the extra 1/2 checker paper around the candy stick right to left then add glue and position again permanently.
6. Add ZipsTM lines to back of stick and adhere to bag.

“Create Your Own” Cup Goodie Holder:
Supplies
Cup: Darice Kid’s Crafts Design-a-mug Yellow Napkin: Amscan Yellow Sunshine Checkered Paper: Creative Imaginations.

Instructions
1. Using cup insert template cut checkered paper to fit inside the cup. Add a little glue to the overlap before  inserting back into the cup. Adjust seams before glue dries.
2. Fill cup with goodies and top with napkin, here we’ve used yellow candy to match the yellow napkin.
3. Add toy at top (optional).

Tire Birthday Party Invitation:
Supplies
 
Circle Tin: Unknown Black Cardstock: Bazzill Basics “beetle black” criss-cross texture White Rub On Lettering: Making Memories Glue: Making Memories metal glue pen Circle Cutting System: Creative Memories’ Gray Ink: Bazzill Basics “Smokey”.

Instructions
1. Using the bottom of the round tin as a template, cut out a circle of black cardstock using sharp utility knife.
2. Using a circle cutter, cut out the center hole (here 1 7/8” diameter) of the black cardstock to form the center of the tire.
3. Using rub on letters, add the words “birthday party” around the tire.
Tip:
 lightly place the rub on letters on top of the tire first to see the spacing, then burnish into place.
4. Adhere finished tire complete with letters to bottom of the tin (this now becomes your invitation front) with metal glue.5. Optional: Once adhered to tin, apply dark stamping ink around the edge of the tire for added shading - either very subtly as we did, or darker. Remember to keep away from the white lettering.

Inside:
Print out your invitation, cut out to fit inside the tin, place in a clear envelope or coloured one and you’re done!

Yellow & Checkered Happy Birthday Card:
Supplies
Yellow Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Checkered Paper: Creative Imaginations Happy Birthday Embellishment: K&Company Life’s Journey Metal Art Black Ribbon: Michael’s, Go With The Grain Ribbon Glue: Pioneer Acid Free Square Edged Photo Safe Xyron, utility knife, straight edge, bone folder.

Instructions
1. Score, fold and trim card to 5 1/2” square.
2. Cut checkered paper (use checkers as a guide for height) and adhere to bottom of card with glue, making sure to center checkers.
3. Adhere ribbon and trim excess, then add your embellishments.

Key Chain Monogram Favor:
Supplies
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics “Beetle Black” criss-cross texture Key Chain: MCS Industries, Inc. Checkered Sticker Border: Sandylion Sticker Designs HotWheels Border Monogram Letter: Doodlebug Design Inc. One Way sticker on the back: Mrs. Grossmans “Road Signs” Black Ribbon: Michael’s, Go With The Grain Ribbon Clear candy bags and ties: Wilton Clear Mini Treat Bags.

Instructions
1. Using the key chain template, cut out black card stock.
2. On front, run ribbon up left side1/4” from edge and trim from back. Add white monogram letter on lower right.
3. On back add “one way” sticker.
4. Insert into the key chain.
5. Put finished key chain into clear bag and close with black ribbon.

Ideas: Use this as a prize or party favor. Instead of monogram use full name of child!

 

Flag Place Card:
Supplies
Checkered Paper: Creative Imaginations Yellow Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Glue: Tombow Mono Multi Liquid GlueHot Glue & Glue Gun, Bone folder, utility knife, Straight Edge.

Instructions
1. Score, fold and trim place card 2 1/2” tall x 3” wide.
2. Make Flag: Using checkered paper, cut paper 2 checkers high (about 2”) and 4 1/2” rows of checkers (about 4 1/4”) wide.
3. Fold paper at exactly two checkers wide and glue front to back. Now you have a four checker size flag with extra paper on one side.
4. Place flag face down with extra paper to the left, 4 checkers to the right. Roll left strip of extra paper around the candy stick to get the paper to curl around the stick. Remove, add glue to paper and roll around the candy stick permanently.
5. Adhere flag stick to yellow folded card stock with hot glue, leaving flag waving over top of the place card as depicted.

6. Stamp child’s name and let dry. Let set and you’re done!
