GTA Photography Camps

Experience digital photography at its best! GTA Photography Camps provide a "hands on" approach to the world of digital photography allowing campers to be creative, interactive, and to easily learn the tricks of the trade. During the months of July and August, kids and teens will learn a lifelong skill of photography and have a blast doing it! Campers can expect to experience challenging indoor and outdoor projects.

2 camp programs are offered by age group:

Youth Camps - (9 to 12 years)

Youth Camps introduce kids to their cameras and the fun things they can do with them. Art projects and hands on photography come together to give campers a unique learning environment where they get to explore both the creative and technical side to image making. Daily outdoor field trips get campers out and about to explore their imaginations.

Youth Camps are offered in Toronto and Oakville but hurry, limited spots are available.

Teen Camps (13 to 17 years)

4 Programs are offered in Teen Camps, depending on experience and interests:

Teen Camp 1 - Campers learn to use their cameras in full manual mode so that they can artistically and confidently capture the world around them. Daily outdoor excursions to many great Toronto locations encourage campers to practice aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

Teen Camp 2 - Photography can be so much more than just point and shoot. The focus of this camp is to take campers' skills to the next level of ultimate creativity by focusing on experimental photography techniques.

Portraiture - Faces are fun! Whether they’re being silly, happy, serious, or just plain crazy, this camp will teach teens how to capture people and their many expressions.

Editing - This completely practical camp will introduce teens to both Lightroom and Photoshop by covering all the key tools and creative adjustments in each program.

Street and Documentary Photography - This camp will teach teens important techniques to capture and communicate the moments and stories they see unfolding in front of them. Campers will be put on assignment in the heart of the city to shoot a variety of events and locations.

Teen Camps are offered at the downtown Toronto location within walking distance from beautiful backdrops and scenery to capture!

At GTA Photogtaphy Camps, campers are introduced to the field of photography by combining the perfect mix of lessons, assignments, and practical hands on field trips. Instructors are not only established photographers in their fields, but they are trained to be amazing teachers and deliver the content in a way that sticks! The camps provide a fun and interactive atmosphere for building relationships and a good portion of the days are dedicated to leadership and team building activities and assignments.

So this Summer, have your kids learn the art of capturing faces, places, and moments in time with a SNAP and share the joy with your family and friends!
