Brick Works Academy Summer Camp
Summer camp at Brick Works Academy helps build minds, curiosity, and confident students. The camp's aim is to educate children in S.T.E.A.M, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through hands on play. If your child is constantly exploring and building, then this is the camp for you! At this summer camp, your child will delve into robotics construction, programming and team work.
For 2019, Brick Works will be offering some new themes including: Harry Potter Fan Camp, 3D Printing and Design, Fortnite Builder.
The new Harry Potter themed camp celebrates all things Harry Potter. Kids will learn magic tricks, transfiguration, prop making, and potion making. There will even be live owl visits in the 'care of magical creatures class.'
If your kids are more interested in Minecraft, then take a look at the Minecraft digital building and exploring camps. Here, students get to explore and build minecraft worlds and share experiences with like minded peers. Minecraft will get used in ways beyond what they might do at home.
Your child may prefer to master the underlying math and strategies of the Pokemon Card game. In this camp, they also learn digital painting tools in a computer lab and design their own Pokemon cards!
Other programs include Photography or Animation in Technical Design and Art camps, LEGO Robotics (senior and junior programs), LEGO Animation, and YouTube Videographer with video production, shooting and editing using the latest in digital tools.
Camps are held at multiple locations including Toronto West, Toronto North, Downtown Toronto, Mississauga, North York, Burlington, Hamilton, Port Credit Mississauga, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and London.
At Brick Works Academy, Geeky game culture and Technology is celebrated and all camps help kids earn from each other while having fun! Camps run July 2 to August 30, 2019.
