Love My Planet Eco Camp

One of the largest French summer camps in Ontario, Camp Tournesol, is launching a new eco-camp, LOVE MY PLANET. These new camps available across the GTA, will develop the next generation of environmentally conscious citizens by teaching children ways to reduce their imprint on the environment through a number of fun and engaging activities. This English summer day camp is for campers who are excited about helping the environment while having fun at summer camp!

Every day, campers will play games, create new items with old unused ones, discuss their ecological footprint and choices they can make, how to reduce food waste ... all while staying active outdoors. Topics at camp include reducing food waste, alternatives to plastic, and ways to reuse old goods. On top of addressing environmental concerns, campers will also take part in traditional camp activities, like active games and arts and crafts.

This new series of English camp will draw from Camp Tournesol’s expertise in providing experiential learning to campers over the summer while harnessing the growing need to help the environment. “My passion and concern for the environment inspired me to create a new brand of eco-friendly camps. The camp is called Love My Planet, a title that reflects exactly who our campers are - those who love their planet!” - Martine â€‹Brouillet, Founder

Camps will be available at 4 campuses: Toronto Danforth, Toronto Bloor West, Mississauga South and Oakville South, and will run from July 8, 2019 until August 2, 2019. Programs will vary by campus.
