Free Comic Book Day Postponed Until Summer

Diamond Comic Distributors have made the decision that Free Comic Book Day scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 2, 2020 will be postponed, as result of Covid-19.

This year’s Free Comic Book Day would have seen participating retailers offering 47 special titles from publishers including Marvel, DC and Image Comics at no charge, at participating local comic shops across Canada and around the world.

Despite a new date not being announced for the event, it has not been officially cancelled, but will instead take place at a date "later in the summer."

Free Comic Book Day is an annual event that takes place on the first Saturday of May. The day is a promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to help bring new readers into independent comic book stores.

Stay tuned for that summer date and as usual, we'll keep you informed.
