The CNE: For Animal Lovers




The CNE just wouldn't be the same without animals. You can see animals on display, farm equipment, animal shows, and of course, the ever-popular President’s Choice SuperDogs, where families can enjoy a show full of amazing tricks, aerial stunts, and comedy antics all performed by man's best friend. The CNE’s love of animals goes from barnyard and horse stables, to household pets. If you’re an animal lover, here are the things you won’t want to miss!


The SuperDogs Wild Wild Woof Show

President’s Choice SuperDogs – Wild Wild Woof
The President’s Choice SuperDogs are "going country" in their brand new, music-filled, honky-tonk, extravaganza! It’s a celebration of country music with dynamic new props and exciting new games. Watch and cheer as the sensational SuperDogs jump, weave, leap, and even line-dance to the glitz and glamour of contemporary country hits. Arrive early to get a seat at this very popular show!

Daily Times: 12:30PM, 3:30PM, and 6:30PM
Location: Hall D, Direct Energy Centre


The CNE Cat Show features over 125 cats.

Cat Show
For the 42nd Annual Cat Show there will be more than 125 cats from across Ontario that will be showcased in display and competition. Who will you cheer for?

Date: August 24 - 25

Meet many Animal Friends at the CNE Farm

The Farm
Just minutes away from the intense urban landscape of Toronto, rural Ontario comes to life for 18 days at the CNE in the Better Living Centre. The CNE’s Farm provides visitors with the chance to slow down and get acquainted with rural life including a wide variety of farm yard animals ranging from piglets to ostriches. Guests can be a farmer for a day, picking apples off a tree, digging for potatoes, milking a cow, and collecting eggs from the chickens.

Daily Times: 10:00AM to 10:00PM daily (until 7:00PM on Labour Day)

Birds of Prey Show

Birds of Prey
The Birds have flown the coop to return to the CNE this year in free-flight demonstrations presented by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy. Each show will present five to seven distinctly different Birds of Prey including an Eagle, Hawk Falcon, Owl, and Vulture. In between the shows, there will be a display of the birds so EX-goers can view them, ask questions, and take pictures!

Daily Times: Shows at various times daily; on display 10:00AM to 8:00PM

Reptilia

Reptilia
The Reptilia Cruiser has 26 exhibits offering an up close and personal look into the world of reptiles. Animals on display may include large pythons, young alligators, tortoises, iguanas, boas, and even rattlesnakes. Take in one of the lively interactive shows with plenty of opportunity for audience participation, live contact, and question and answer periods. Don’t forget to stick around after the show to meet the scaly performers and their keepers.

The Miniature Horse Show is a 2 day event only.

CNE Miniature Horse Show
Part of the CNE Horse Show Competition, the miniature horses will be competing for two days only!

Date: August 24 - 25
Location: Horse Palace Ring, Horse Palace

HorseCapades
As part of your afternoon at the CNE, visit HorseCapades. This free CNE interactive horse program sweeps you away from city life and into the magical world of the horse. It’s a fun introduction to horses, but you can also watch the professional horse competition in the coolness of the Ricoh Coliseum. Cheer on your favourite horse to win the first place Red Ribbon!

Date: July 28 to August 15
