On Monday, we kicked off the start of March Break with an outing to Spring Fling at Rogers Centre. The week-long event is an indoor carnival with midway rides, games, and children’s entertainment. Here are a few of our photographs:
Spring Fling runs March 10 – 16, 2012: 10am – 6pm. Plan to arrive early, as it gets very busy in the afternoon.
All-Day Ride Pass are $20.00 (for children 2 years and older).
There are a number of fast food vendors, but we always pack a lunch and snacks.
It is quite cold inside Rogers Centre. Not quite cool enough for a coat, but something to think about when dressing your kids in the morning.
There are hourly music performances and magic shows set on a small stage. Families are encouraged to sit in the bleachers, eat lunch, and watch the shows.
Many rides require adult accompaniment. My son is four years old and I needed to ride with him most of the time.
In addition to the midway rides, games, and shows, there are also various activity centers. For example, there is a Barbie play studio where children can play dress up and create their own dress designs, and a Reptilia display where children can pet various reptiles. Note the photograph above, my son was about to hold that snake!
There is underground parking across from Rogers Centre and Union Station is within walking distance.
