DC Comics Launches a Virtual Kids Camp

Kids who love comics are in for some super-powered fun! DC, the U.S. comic book giant, comes to the rescue of parents with the launch of its free virtual camp for kids, during COVID-19-related isolation-at-home policies. Activities will be running from DC Kids' social media channels.

The At-Home Activity program is curated by DC Middle Grade Authors and Artists. At DC Kids Camp, kids can learn how to draw their favourite DC Super Heroes, be inspired to make their own comics, and unlock their creativity with fun, zany how-to videos like draw-alongs with Agnes Garbowska (DC Super Hero Girls), origami tutorials with Gene Luen Yang (Superman Smashes the Klan), make-your-own Green Lantern ring demonstrations with Minh Lê (Green Lantern: Legacy), and many more fun activities!

Videos and activities are now being posted at 10 a.m. PT to the @dccomicskids Twitter and @dckids Instagram accounts. The Instagram account is private so you'll need to follow them to see their content.

Tune in to those DC Kids Social Channels for kid-friendly, downloadable activity kits, graphic novel previews, interactive author/artist videos, activity sheets, colouring pages and more content.
