The Dr. Seuss Experience Extended

Due to an overwhelming demand for tickets, Kilburn Live has announced that The Dr. Seuss Experience will be extending its stay in the GTA until March 22, 2020. The Dr. Seuss Experience, an imaginative and interactive experience into the wondrous world of Dr. Seuss, has garnered record-setting attendance since its world premiere at Mississauga’s Square One in late October.

The Dr. Seuss Experience will close temporarily on January 6th and will reopen with surprise enhancements and a new Dr. Seuss character on January 16th. Kilburn Live also announced that there would be no further extension to the run beyond this date.

To celebrate the sensory spectacle’s continued success and to show gratitude for the warm reception it received, Kilburn Live is providing up to 1,000 free tickets to select GTA public schools during the extended run.

We are thrilled to be extending this highly popular engagement and look forward to providing opportunities for more guests to enjoy The Dr. Seuss Experience," says Mark Manuel, CEO of Kilburn Live. "We think as many children as possible should have the opportunity to enter the innovative and immersive world of Dr. Seuss that celebrates literacy, imagination, and many of the other important messages of the Dr. Seuss books. As such, we are working with select public schools to invite children who might not have otherwise had the opportunity to visit this Experience."

A first-ever experience based on the storied Dr. Seuss franchise, The Dr. Seuss Experience takes each guest on an awe-inspiring journey through nine different Dr. Seuss books, allowing each visitor a chance to magically step into the pages of each of the books. The Dr. Seuss Experience features interactive elements from “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”, “The Lorax” and “Horton Hears a Who!," as well as specialty rooms dedicated to “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” and “If I Ran the Circus.” All the rooms are designed around key scenes and characters from each of these beloved books to stimulate the hearts, souls, and imaginations of fans, both young and young at heart, from across the GTA and beyond.

"When we launched The Dr. Seuss Experience, we imagined it would be well-received but had no idea it would have this kind of an impact, and the fact that even more children will get to open their eyes to the world of Dr. Seuss in such an interactive way is incredible," said Susan Brandt, president of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P. "We can’t wait to see all the places the Experience will go from here!"

The engagement also offers educators a teaching experience that encourages children to explore the life lessons in Dr. Seuss's books, helping to foster a love of reading, self-confidence and the wonderful possibilities within their imagination.

The tour will travel to multiple, yet-to-be-announced cities across North America and as it expands, guests can expect new interactive additions, based on different books, to join the rotation. To purchase tickets or receive information on future tour dates, visit www.experienceseuss.com
