Quills and Quotes offers a 35-week enriched afterschool English program for students in elementary, intermediate and secondary school. Our teachers are Ontario College of Teaching certified and come highly recommended. The proven curriculum is advanced, as each week students are learning to write essays that are descriptive, persuasive, narrative, argument-based, research-based, expository or comparative. The course includes advanced vocabulary building and reading comprehension.

The weekly class sessions include the teaching of effective presentation skills and offer multiple opportunities to practice public speaking. Students will learn techniques to successfully deliver speeches that are impromptu, instructional, persuasive and motivational. The culminating event is a QUILL Talk, which is our version of a TED Talk.

Most importantly, the curriculum has a lofty goal: all learning material must be globally relevant and challenge our students to learn not just through traditional pen-to-paper, but through media literacy, debate, visual presentation and collaboration.

Classes are held at: 2021 Dundas St. W, Mississauga, L5K 1R2
