Description:

The Toronto Islands offer activities everyone can enjoy for a fun-filled day! The Toronto Islands provide a great, refreshing escape from downtown with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario on one side, and the city skyline on the other.

The Islands area is a great place to bask on blue flag beaches, and offers other tourist features such as the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Franklin Children's Garden, Centreville Amusement Park and Far Enough Farm.

Pedestrian/Bicycle Trails

• 2.48 km from Hanlan’s Point Ferry Dock to the Island Filtration Plant
• 1.11 km from the boardwalk to Ward’s Island Ferry Dock
• 0.76 km from Centre Island Ferry Dock to Lookout Pier

Volleyball

• 3 volleyball courts on Hanlan’s Island
• 2 volleyball courts on Centre Island and Olympic Island

Softball

• 2 softball diamonds on Hanlan’s Island
• 2 softball diamonds on Centre Island and Olympic Island

Swimming and Waterplay

• beaches with lifeguard duty from July to August
• 5 wading pools

Boating

• serviced public boat moorings (48 hour limit)

• two 18 hole disc golf courses (PDGA approved)

Admission to the Toronto Islands is Free.

Ferries to the Toronto Islands leave from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 9 Queens Quay West, located south of Queens Quay between Yonge Street and Bay Street. The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal is at 9 Queens Quay W - 416-397-2628.
