Programs offerred are Intro to Everything (6-9 years), Indie Cartooning (8-13 years), Next Steps in Drawing (6-9 years), Animal Inspirations (8-13 years), iPad Art (8-13 years), and Learning to Draw (6-9 years). Class size is limited to keep instructor to student ratios low.

Dune Kids is a new creative play centre with a world theme. Integrating art, play, learning, and culture in a unique space designed to serve young families and bring the community together. Each month features a new theme to explore. Kids will use their imaginations and creativity in our fun and engaging 90 minute workshops. The cost is $25 per child – no pre-registration is required. In February, children will gain a variety of art skills in drawing, painting, origami, and sculpting. They will learn about some ancient traditions and stories from Asia by creating some beautifully coloured Chinese lanterns, some whimsical horse masks, some enchanting patterned clay magnets, and some ferociously magical dragons!

From tots to teens, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection has a hands-on art class or workshop for you! Weekly two-hour art classes are offered throughout the year. Students have the opportunity to visit the McMichael exhibitions as well as head outdoors, weather permitting, to explore and work in the natural environment. They’ll develop skills in drawing and painting, colour and composition, while working with a wide range of 2 and 3-dimensional materials and methods in an atmosphere that is both fun and rewarding. Wednesday and Saturdays classes are offered as well.

4Cats Arts Studio are professional art studios for children ages 2 to 15 with locations across the Greater Toronto Area. At 4Cats Arts Studios, kids get to work in a variety of mediums, taking inspiration from the works of famous artists. If studying Picasso, kids will create acrylic on canvas cubist paintings and ceramics. If studying Vincent Van Gogh, kids will create acrylic on canvas paintings using modeling paste and quick brush strokes, just like Van Gogh did, himself. A lot of age-appropriate art history is thrown in too!
