March Break at the AGO

9 Days of Fun for the Whole Family

Beginning on Saturday, March 9 (with a special opening on Monday, March 11), the AGO will open for nine straight days of March Break programming.

Join artists Natalie Ferguson and Toby Gillies in an immersive art installation and family artmaking experience. Secret Ingredient will bring people together by way of one thing we all share: a love of food. Foodies can create playful, faux sculptures of food – real or imagined. Have fun sharing cherished family recipes and imagining new ones! What’s your family’s secret ingredient…?

Complement your food experience with a visit to the Impressionism in the Age of Industry: Monet, Pissarro and more exhibition and take off on a planes, trains, automobiles and ships artmaking adventure. Launch paper airplanes or colourful fish-spinners, make a pit stop on the AGO race track, or take a little handmade boat for a float. End your day with a visit to caféAGO to try out a yummy recipe!

Additional activities include:

• Join the paper plane party and customize, fold and decorate paper airplanes and colourful flying spinners – then launch them from the Gallery School balcony!
• Feel the need for speed on the AGO racetrack and use mini-putt sticks to push your ball over the finish line in Galleria Italia.
• Get creative and decorate your very own paper boat, then put your craftsmanship to the test and see if you can make it float.
• Visit the AGO's Weston Family Learning Centre to join in on the table sized colouring mural, or take a family-friendly tour departing every hour.

March Break activities are FREE with General Admission, and you can save $10 on the cost of a family pass when purchasing tickets online in advance. AGO Members always receive free admission. March Break runs March 9 – 17 from 10:30 am – 4 pm daily.
