Smartphone Addiction



Like anything else of great value to humans, smartphones entail just as many risks as they do rewards. Every smartphone user knows of their many benefits, but what about the risks? Arguably most prominent amongst these is addiction. Smartphone addiction can affect anyone who uses a smartphone, from teens to adults.

The infographic below lists statistics about and signs of smartphone addiction, as well as some advice on how to deal with it. Most importantly, however, parents should remember to communicate with teens if they seem to suffer from smartphone addiction. The path to freedom from addiction cannot begin without communication, so learn to recognize the signs and how to be sympathetic, to make sure that this kind of addiction does not become a new kind of problem.
