Canadian Girls Baseball Toronto Spring Programs
Girls can step up to the plate at Canadian Girls Baseball (CGB), an inclusive youth league for girls ages 4-16 who want to play baseball, regardless of their skills and ability.
Joining a Little League team is not only fun, but it can help girls develop social skills that will benefit them throughout their entire lives. They will befriend and interact with other girls their age, and work with adults such as coaches and sports officials.
As a player of a CGB team, girls will acquire many life-long skills such as leadership, team-building and communication, which is also helpful in school and personal relationships. Self-confidence is another huge factor. Participants get praise and encouragement from coaches and parents which will help them learn to trust in their own abilities and push themselves. Constructive criticism is a major part of team sport participation, and young athletes understand how to accept such criticism and use it to their benefit. CGB teaches girls how to play to win and learn how to lose with grace. Being a team member of CGB can have a very positive impact on a child’s self-esteem and confidence.
Programs are offered year-round and right now, you can sign up for a Spring Session May 1 to June 23 (8 weeks). Teams are organized by age group. Sessions include Development Drills, followed by a game so that players can learn the necessary skills to put to use in a game. The cost is $185 per player, which includes coaching, uniforms and skills training. No experience is required, whether your child wants to learn new skills or build on existing ones!
Programs run out of several locations including North Toronto, Vaughan, Scarborough, High Park area, and Leslieville.
All expert coaching is provided by Canadian national and Ontario provincial women's baseball team players with the help of parent coaches.
