Camp Peak in South River

Camp PEAK believes in the importance of 'family time' as a result is now offering Family Camp August 29 to September 1, 2014. Family Camp is an opportunity to reconnect with programmed and facilitated activities, prepared meals and snacks, room, and board. It's the last opportunity to spend time together as a family before school begins... kind of like an enhanced family vacation. Family Camp will help introduce a camp program to your young children and to make those parents/guardians feel comfortable with the entire 'camping' experience for future years. Camp Kawartha

Here’s a chance to take a “quick dip,” in the Camp Kawartha waters with a day long program that both campers and parents can enjoy at Mini Kawartha Day for Campers and Parents! On arrival, parents and campers will be given a tour of the camp. This will be followed by our traditional flag-raising that allows parents and campers to meet the staff and participate in some of the games and icebreakers we play on our first day. Campers then join a cabin group for morning activities while parents are led through a camp orientation–Camp Kawartha 101–a crash course of everything they need and want to know about their child’s experience at the Camp. Lunch and dinner will be provided in the dining hall where campers and parents participate in camp meals, and experience the dining hall spirit and routines unique to the camp. Parents and campers will participate in afternoon activities such as climbing wall, high ropes, eco, archery, and boating activities. Later in the afternoon, campers will join their counselors or parents to participate in our daily GBS period where they can participate in swimming and additional boating activities. The day ends with traditional campfire for songs, skits, and other surprises. June 28 from 9:00am to 7:00pm.
