Free Summer Family Movies 2016

It's cool to watch your favourite flicks outdoors especially when they're free.




Not only is watching movies under the stars a wonderful way for the family to bond but it's a great way to spend time away from iPads and iPhones. How cool is it to watch your favourite flicks outdoors?

Below is a list of parks in Toronto and the GTA that show outdoor movies all summer long. So BYOC - Bring Your Own Chairs, munchies, blankets, and savour the magic of the movies.

Free Flicks at Harbourfront
June 22 to August 31, 2016
Harbourfront Centre announces its 14th edition of Free Flicks, presented by Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Against the backdrop of Toronto’s beautiful waterfront, every Wednesday night from June 22 – August 31, a new plot unfolds in the eclectic selection of movie offerings. How the series ends is up to our viewers. Between June 22 and August 24, film fans can vote for one of three Oscar winners as their Audience Choice film to be screened on August 31.

Movies in the Park Whitby

Movies Under The Stars provides free movie at various park locations in Burlington. Movies start at 9:00 pm. Bring your own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Come early to reserve a spot!

July 8 to July 29, 2016
This Multicultural festival featuring family friendly music, buskers, international foods, kids' activities and more, takes place over 4 Fridays at Mel Lastman Square. Admission is free and each Friday features a new movie!

Movies In The Park (Riverdale Park)
Movies In The Park has been having difficulty getting funding. Last season was cancelled. Check their website for updates to see if Movies in the Park will take place in 2016.
