Mac ‘n Cheese Festival

The city's outdoor festival season kicks off this month with many fun and mostly free fairs and festivals. These events aren't just fun, they also foster community spirit by bringing families together for a common cause. Many include old-fashioned games, eco-activities, homemade treats and live performances. Here are the best festivals for families this June.

Mac ‘n Cheese Festival
June 3 to 5, 2016
This year it's bigger and better! The second annual Mac and Cheese Festival is taking over Ontario Place West Island. The festival will feature over 75 food, drink and artisanal vendors; 40 of which include Toronto’s top chefs, savvy cooks and food entrepreneurs, competing to make the city’s best mac and cheese. Admission to this festival is FREE. VIP Passes available for purchase.

June 3 to 5, 2016

Bridging Festival
June 3 to June 4, 2016

Mississauga Halal Food Fest
June 4, 2016
Mississauga Halal Food Fest will bring together a variety of Halal food from a wide range of suppliers, who will provide information, education, and awareness of the benefits of Halal products. There will be inflatable rides for the children to enjoy, local and international performers, a Turkish Sufi dance performance, an a mixture of both traditional and current musical entertainment that will cater to the older and younger generations alike. Unionville Festival
June 4 to 5, 2016
This year brings a number of new events, as well as our old favourites – and as always, there's lots of great food. Don’t forget Family Fun Day in the Park on June 5, the Saturday morning Parade, the Fun Zone for kids, music everywhere, the Funky 5K race, the York-Durham heritage train, music everywhere and plenty of vendors – including, of course, the unique shops of Unionville. Muhtadi International Drumming Festival
June 4 to 5, 2016
The Muhtadi International Drumming Festival (MIDF), now in its 17th year, is a two day annual event that celebrates the drum, it's presence in all cultures and its cultural relevance today in communities around the world. The festival takes place in Woodbine Park, a part of the larger Beaches area in Toronto; a community known for its vibrancy, natural surroundings and great outdoor sound stage. Free.

The TD Toronto Jazz Festival has become known as one of North America’s premier jazz festivals produced annually by Toronto Downtown Jazz.
