Toronto's festival season kicks into high gear in June. The first month of summer and the debut of warmer weather prompts a head-spinning number of fantastic fairs, parades, carnivals and other festivals. So get your calendar; you're going to want to write these dates down. Here are great family festivals for June, most of which are completely Free.

Mac ‘n Cheese Festival
June 2 to 4, 2017

19th Annual Riverdale Art Walk

The 19th Annual Riverdale Art Walk (RAW), returns to Jimmy Simpson Park (Queen Street, east of Broadview) on June 3-4, 11-6 daily, as the summer season’s opening fine art event, presented by the Artists’ Network, an organization dedicated to educating artists in the business side of art. Eats and Beats Streetfest 'Canada 150'
June 3 and 4, 2017
This year, the festival is celebrating Ontario and Canada’s 150th anniversary and Indigenous roots with special events and festivities! During the festival, local eateries open their doors serving tasting plates and musical entertainment. The festival includes a variety of destination points at four street closures with live music, entertainment and, of course, mouthwatering Riverside tasters. Free.

Unionville Festival
June 3 and 4, 2017
There is the traditional Saturday morning Parade, the Fun Zone for kids, the annual Funky 5K race, the York-Durham heritage train and don’t forget Family Fun Day in the Park on Sunday. We'll have music everywhere and plenty of vendors – including, of course, the unique shops of Unionville, and much more! Admission is free.

The TD Toronto Jazz Festival has become known as one of North America’s premier jazz festivals produced annually by Toronto Downtown Jazz.
