Redpath Waterfront Festival 2018

Come have a ball on Toronto’s waterfront the first weekend of summer! Inspired by leisurely sun-drenched days at the beach, this year’s Redpath Waterfront Festival, presented by Billy Bishop Airport, will take visitors back to some of their best memories on the sand.

From June 22-24, Toronto’s waterfront will come alive with incrediball entertainment and carefree fun for visitors of all ages. Riding the wave of success from the World’s Largest Rubber Duck, this year’s festival will continue to delight and captivate audiences with the following programs.

Re-live your best beach memories with HTO Pendulum Wave, presented by Menkes. Custom-made for this year’s festival, this giant installation stands 22 ft tall, 48 ft wide, weighs 19,000 lbs and is made up of six 6.5 ft tall beach balls.

Aqua Cirque is a magical tale of water. Nautical aerialists will sail through the air and aquatic acrobats will perform jaw-dropping flips, throws and jumps. After each performance, visitors can learn how to put on a circus show of their own with guided interactive workshops led by the stars of Aqua Cirque.

The Royal Canadian Navy returns to the festival with the HMCS Oriole, a tall ship that hasn’t been in the Great Lakes for over 25 years. Stop by the Navy booth to chat with an officer about the forces or to find out more about this legendary ship.

The Waterfront Artisan Market returns to HTO Park every weekend throughout the summer starting in May. Sample delicious local food and stumble upon new home-made products. This year’s market will feature 50 bakers, chefs and artisans.

The Wine & Spirit festival will be celebrating its 10th year! Relax with an expertly-crafted cocktail on Sugar Beach and try some of the best domestic and international wines, ciders, craft beers and spirits on the market (Only Friday and Saturday).

The Family Fun Zone will have loads of interactive activities for kids of all ages and abilities. The whole family can play till the sun goes down on the carousel and carnival games as well as arts and crafts and educational activities from Parks Canada and Live Green Toronto.
