L’Arabesque Ballet, a high caliber Dance School following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi, was recently voted as the top dance school in the ‘Best of 2015’.
L’Arabesque Ballet is a high caliber Dance School located in Thornhill. The school follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi and all levels are offered, from primary to advanced. Classes are capped at 10 children so that more time can be spent focusing on each child's progress.
L’Arabesque Ballet was recently voted as the best dance school by Toronto4Kids readers in the ‘Best of 2015’, an in-depth survey that allows parents to vote for the very best family businesses, services, and attractions in Toronto and the GTA.
The school was formed by Director, Laetitia Clement, a former 10 year principal dancer. She is American Ballet Theatre Certified, RAD Certified, Advanced Cechetti, French School Trained, and a member of the George Brown College Dance Faculty.
L’Arabesque students often achieve success beyond the program. Several of the Level 1, 2 and advanced students were recently presented to the Royal Academy of Dance Exams. 100% of them passed and all were awarded Merit or Distinction.
For students wanting to continue their dance training, L’Arabesque Ballet also offers a 'July Summer Camp Week'. The program offers full days and half day camps with Ballet, Yoga, Modern, Hip-Hop, and Arts. Campers also get to enjoy fun games and playtime in the park.
Just in time for back to school, the 'August Intensive Ballet Week', is a good refresher on all ballet abilities learned in the previous year and an excellent recap for students preparing for RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) exams.
In the Spring, it’s ‘bring the class to a ballet.’ Thanks to l'Arabesque Ballet's connection to the ballet world, interested children and their parents can sign up to see a real ballet performance with their teacher, at preferred and discounted ticket rates.
What parents loved most about L’Arabesque Ballet is the fact that children continue to have fun while learning the disciplines of ballet. Their kids gained strength and control, flexibility and also learned structure, discipline, respect, rhythm, musicality, and space perception. The school feels like one big family with special occasions celebrated. It’s a wonderful, welcoming, learning environment for the children. Moreover, parents felt that at L'Arabesque, their kids were learning the proper techniques of ballet at a faster pace than at community centre dance programs. Parents commented that their children are fortunate to study with a ballerina of such high caliber who also has the skills and talent to teach young students.
