7 Hamilton Festivals & Events Named Ontario’s Top 100

Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) recently announced Ontario’s 2019 Top 100 Festivals & Events at their annual Conference held in London this year. Seven of Hamilton’s leading festivals and events received an honour.

The Top 100 recipients represent festivals and events that excel within the industry. Submissions from FEO members were received for consideration in the fall of 2018 and were judged by an independent panel of judges.

Here are Hamilton’s festivals and events that were awarded the 2019 Top 100 designation:

Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek

Dundas International Buskerfest

Dundas Buskerfest is a three day street festival celebrating street theater from around the world. The festival rounds up full-time artists with incredible skills, outrageous comedy, and impeccable credentials.

It's your Festival

“It’s Your Festival” is the oldest and biggest Canada Day Festival in Canada and one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario. It’s Your Festival is organized by Hamilton Folk Arts Heritage Council (Non-Profit Organization) and 4,000 dedicated volunteers. Features entertainment, a midway and much more. Free admission.

Dundas Cactus Festival

Occurring every 3rd weekend in August, ‘Cactus’ attracts visitors from across the nation and is the unofficial ‘homecoming’ event for any and all who have lived in the community. Continuing to evolve and expand, the FREE family fun Festival runs for 3 days and includes 4 entertainment stages, event zones and over 100 street vendors.

Winona Peach Festival

The Peach Festival has something for everyone! The Arts & Craft section is nestled in our treed area and offers only hand made items, the Midway put on by Robertson Amusements has rides and games for all ages, a Commercial Exhibit area has many vendors with various products for sale, the "Peach of a Car Show" has approximately 40 vehicles on display, the free entertainment stage has children's programming at the E.D. Smith Fun Factory, while in the evenings there is music to make everyone enjoy themselves.

Telling Tales Festival
