Cineplex Family Favourites - April

Free Admission on Wednesday Nights at the AGO
Weekly on Wednesdays
The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is an art museum in Toronto's Downtown Grange Park district, on Dundas Street West between McCaul Street and Beverley Street. Its collection includes more than 80,000 works spanning the 1st century to the present-day. The gallery has 45,000 square metres (480,000 sq ft) of physical space, making it one of the largest galleries in North America. More

Evergreen Brick Works Scavenger Hunt
Daily in April
Explore Evergreen Brick Works and discover new things about the site, its history and the Don Valley where we're located. You'll leave with a better sense of what this wonderful place is all about. We have three different hunts, one for families with children aged 3-6, one for children aged 7-10, and a Photo Scavenger Hunt for teens and adults. Free (small suggested donation). More

Solar Observing at Ontario Science Centre

Safely observe the sun with specially filtered telescopes. Learn about our nearest star and try your eye at spotting exotic surface features, including sunspots, spicules and prominences. This program is offered by members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Free admission. More

Power Kids: Free Kids Activities

These FREE arts workshops for children ages 7-12 begin with a tour of the gallery and conclude with an art activity, inspired by the ideas behind the current exhibition. Tours and workshops are led by Amanda Foulds, Power Kids Family Programs Coordinator and assisted by Erica Cristobal, Power Kids Teaching Assistant. Show Your Spots - Participants in this workshop are invited to transform themselves into an animal by making a mask using paper, fabric and other mixed media. More

These FREE arts workshops for children ages 7-12 begin with a tour of the gallery and conclude with an art activity, inspired by the ideas behind the current exhibition. Bring your e-waste to the Toronto Zoo on Saturday, April 27, 2019 or Sunday April 28, 2019 and help support Gorilla Awareness Weekend and great ape conservation. All donations from the event are in support of PhoneApes and will be responsibly recycled in Ontario.
