Family Fun During Bike Month
It’s bike month! That means it’s time to remember how great it feels to be out riding your bike! Bike Month is a yearly celebration of cycling in the Greater Toronto with hundreds of community events and activities including rides, races, tours, festivals, and more.
What initially started out as a Bike to Work Day celebration in 1989 has now become one of the largest community events of its kind in Canada and it's now celebrated across the GTA. Bike Month brings together families to promote cycling at hundreds of events during the month of May and June. Your family can take part in community rides, pancake breakfasts, fundraisers, scavenger hunts, bike art crafting, and much more.
Bike Month takes place from May 25 to June 25, 2015 and is supported by The City of Toronto, The City of Mississauga, The City of Hamilton, The Region of Peel, York Region, and Durham Region.
So, whether you're an avid cyclist or just a recreational one, grab your family and bikes and head out to an event during Bike Month, when the GTA becomes a bicycle-friendly city!
