Fridays in November - 9:30 am until 11:30 am
Every Friday we open our doors to the community for two hours of FREE play and activities! This time is open to the community for parents and kids (under 3 and a half years) to connect, participate in our free play, and experience our new, fun programs each week. Every Wednesday will have a different craft for the kids so there is always something new to look forward to at KidzFREE60! Free.

Día de los Muertos Celebration at Evergreen Brickworks
Nov 2, 2014 - 10:00 am until 3:00 pm
Join us for a special celebration of Latin American culture, with all day events including live music and dance, a churro competition, calavera (skull) face-painting, a Mexican Market and tequila, mezcal  and maiz taste education tables. An essential part of the Dia de los Muertos celebration, ofendas (altars), are built to remember and honour the memory of passed loved ones. Free event.

Day of the Dead Festival at Harbourfront

Harbourfront Centre celebrates the contemporary stories, rituals, and practices of Mexico and other Latin American countries with Day of the Dead/Dìa de los Muertos festival (Nov. 8-9), presented by Scotiabank. Produced in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico, the two-day festival runs from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and offers patrons an opportunity to explore celebrations from Mexico, and other areas of Latin America, with handcrafted ofrendas, concerts, films, family activities, and more. The Toronto Zoo's Annual Remembrance Day Ceremony

Expect the unexpected! Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area promises another spectacular tree-lighting ceremony at Yonge-Dundas Square. Audience will witness no ordinary holiday lighting ceremony. Using different spaces in and around Yonge-Dundas Square, performers will appear from every corner and will leave the audience in awe. Be prepared to be surprised at every turn. Take the whole family and experience this one-of-a kind show that culminates with fireworks and the lighting of 52,000 LED lights. Free.

Cavalcade of Lights Toronto

Saturday, November 29, 2014 will mark the official start to the holiday season in Toronto with the celebration of the annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Great Gulf. Featuring the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, performances by some of Canada’s top musical talent, a brilliant fireworks show and a skating party at Nathan Phillips Square, the festive event is a holiday tradition in Toronto. The Nathan Phillips Square ice rink will be open for skating (weather permitting) during Cavalcade of Lights and skate rentals are available on site. Free.
